That One Guy, Luke

I can't believe I'm making two separate blog entries in one day. Weird.I read Luke yesterday a nd attempted to get an idea of what Christ wants in us. Look up the references and let God speak to you.

Characteristics of Believers:
1. Willing to admit their sinfulness and need for God.

2a. Willing to abandon their lives and comforts for the cause of Christ.

2b. Devoted to Christ's cause above everything else.

3. Prayerful

The interesting thing about this - if you notice the references, a lot of this is Jesus praying. Isn't it completely crazy to think that even though Jesus is one with God, he still prayed? If Jesus needed to pray often, how often do we as incapable, sinful people need to pray?

4. Loving of enemies and those who persecute them.

5. Unashamed of their faith and willing to speak of it when asked.

6. Humble and take positions of servitude.

7. Unrelenting and persistent in their faith.

8. Obedient

9. Simple in essence. They are willing to live simply for others.

10. Forgiving and Merciful.
